Cape Cod Flippz 2026
Join our premier furniture flipping competition where teams transform thrift finds into beautiful, sellable pieces. Teams will shop, create, and compete over an exciting two-week period.
How It Works
- Who Can Enter: Woodworkers, painters, designers, and DIY enthusiasts (18+).
- What Teams Do: Shop for thrift finds, flip through repair/redesign, and sell for charity at showcase event.
- Timeline: An intensive and exciting two-week competition.
- Safety First: All transformed pieces must be fully safe and functional for use.
- Judging: Winners chosen based on creativity, craftsmanship, and resale appeal.
- Cost to Enter: FREE. (Each team receives up to $150 cash for purchases.)
TEAM STRUCTURE 2 participants with designated volunteer photographer
SHOPPING DAY - Saturday, May 30, 2026 >Receive $150 shopping funds from Colorful Kidz >9:00 am - 12:00 noon shop designated yard sales for 3 pieces of furniture to be transformed >Colorful Kidz will help transport the furniture to our shop if necessary (must be movable furniture by 2 people.) >Allocated funds can be used to purchase accessories required for transformation (hardware, paint, fabric, wheels, wood, etc...) >Display items such as lamps, glassware, planters, can be purchased outside of yard sales >Unused funds are returned to Colorful Kidz >Submit plan for transformation of purchased pieces
YOUR MAGICAL TRANSFORMATIONS - 2 weeks - June 1, 2026 to June 14, 2026 >Teams may work on their own schedules >Colorful Kidz workshop access available during daytime and evening hours >Volunteer photographers track and document teams' progress
